The Association of Black Psychologists, Inc. (ABPsi) is honored to announce an historic monumental collaboration - The 56th Annual International Convention of The Association of Black Psychologists, Inc., Returning to Spirit: The Essence of Who We Be, to be held at the iconic Bethune-Cookman University, a distinguished Historically Black College and University (HBCU) founded by the visionary Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune. For over a century, Bethune-Cookman University has exemplified Black excellence and innovation, shaping generations of leaders committed to serving the Black community.
This marks ABPsi’s first annual international convention at an HBCU, a significant milestone that will bring together educators, community members, well-being professionals, scholars, students, activists, artists, and leaders from across the Diaspora. Together, we will advance African/Black Psychology, further ABPsi and Bethune-Cookman University’s mission, and honor the enduring legacy of this renowned institution.
Why You Should Attend
This convention offers a unique opportunity to engage with some of the leading minds in African/Black Psychology, connect with a global network of educators, professionals, students, advocates and community leaders, and explore strategies to promote well-being grounded in an African worldview and African-centered principles. It is also a chance to witness the power of collaboration between ABPsi and an HBCU, a partnership that represents a commitment to education, scholarship, service and healing, for the Black community worldwide.
This is a moment of collective purpose. Don’t miss it!
